Though you do not have any insurance with any of these public transport operatos but ther are legally liable to you for any bodily injury or death they may cause whilst you are a passenger in any of them.
STEPS TO EASY CLAIMS
Ø  Make sure you bought your ticket from the counter directly and that you fill your name address and other relevant information correctly.
Ø  Don’t repurchase your ticket from any orther person but if you have to do that for any reason get back to the ticketing clerk and update your information. It is also in your interest the person reselling your ticket to make sure that the information is updated except you wouldn’t mind to wrongly see your obutially in case of mishap.
 BODILY INJURY
You simply make your claim against the transport operator. It is expected that the transp[ort operator  should get it from his insurance company to you. If for any reason he doesn’t have an insurance in force as at the time the accident occurred or what he has has expired or that the insurance company refused to pay he is still personally liable to pay you for the bodily injury or loss.. If the transport operator or his his insurance company or both for any reason fails to pay you promptly don’t go away unreddemed do take time to report both to National Unasurance commission and the fFederal Road Safty.
DEATH
Like above, the family of the deceased must make their claim against the transport operatopr and of course they are bound to pay and promptly too through their insurance company. If the insurance company and the transport operator delays or resort to long tales as usual report them to the appropriate authority to help you tame them.

A ) LIFE INSURANCE Survival:
- Bring along the policy document
- If you have not reconciled your premium payments reconcile it but the besdt thing is to reconcile it every year so that at maturity you have a smooth ride.
- Contact the insurance company two months before the maturity date oif the policy and make sure you have cleared all the premiums, that is if your insurance company on their own has not contacted you.
- Once they give you the discharge vaucher complete it and then return it to the insurance company with your PD.
- Give the insurance company three weeks if they didnt contact you contact them and ask of your check.
- If after two whole month and you have not got your check treaten them you woukld report them to NATIONAL INSURANCE COMMISSION!
- Once you collect your check that is OK, if further delay contact : THE COMMISSIONER

STEPS TO EASY CLAIM PAYMENTS LIFE
CATEGORY 3 Missing person
This type differs from death claim because of its ligalities.
Ø  A missing person is deemed to be legally dead only if he remains missing after seven consecutive years.
So do not hope to collect your claim on a missing person within seven years of missing until after.
BASIC CLAIM STEPS
ü Inform the insurance company of the fact that the policy holder is missing immediately.
Advantages: a) Satisfaction of claim ligalities
                       b) Insurance company would stop expecting premiums from him and as    
                            such would not treat non availability of prompt premium as a     
                            Violation of the payment contract.
                       C) Start The process of claim procedure.
ü  Must report to police and perhaps some of the other security services like SSS and must make available the copies of such reports to he insurance company for documentation and keep an acknowledgement copy by the collecting insurance officer.
ü  If the insurance company demands the policy document of the missing policy holder immediately submit it to them but before you submit photocopy all the relevant pages and let the insurance collecting officer acknowledge receipt which you keep intact.
Once you have done all these you must have complied with the rules, if there are any other documents given to you by the insurance company; file all of them together with the other acknowledgement copies and keep intact and then wait for the seven years.
At the dot of the seven years or some few months to the end of the seven years contact the insurance company for the completion of your claim process, though they can only release your discharge Voucher at the dot of the seven years. Complete it and send it back to the insurance company and don’t forget to get an acknowledgement copy.

It is expected that within two weeks or three weeks they should send your check to you however if after a month or thereabout they didn’t pay you and are still telling you some irritating stories report them to those that would help you to tame them as usual.
